This was Sir Paul McCartney's last album on the old Beatles Apple label, and his most celebrated and successful Post-Beatles album. Band on the Run was voted onto Rolling Stones Top 500 songs of all time list - and it's always been one of my favorites.
We cut this song 4 different ways before settling on the final mix you have here. Man it was a hard decision - but we came away with what I think is the best choice. The crowd knows the song, and sings along with me every time. I've been looking forward to putting this track down for a while. Hope you enjoy it. |
