This song was recorded by a lot of artists in its lifetime; Roger Whittaker, Sheena Easton, Lou Rawls, and Gladys Knight and the Pips to name a few. But the one that helped it finally soar its way up to #1, was the "Divine Ms. M" - Bette Midler.
