After John Lennon's death on December 8th, 1980 - George Harrison went back to this song and changed the lyrics to make it a tribute to John. Only this was going to be a Ringo tune, but it didn't work out. So with George on the lead and guitar, and Ringo on the drums, he invited Paul and Linda McCartney in to do background vocals.
Yes, the 3 remaining Beatles, got back together to celebrate the man who help them become what they did, all those years ago... |
